Description: Compact Teak Sideboard designed by Swedish Architect Nils Jonsson for Troeds Bjärnum. Troeds produced superb quality furniture throughout the 50's and 60's manufacturing the designs of architects such as Jonsson and Yngve Ekström (best known for the 1956 "Lamino" chair), all in a style that combined lightness, beauty and function - essential Scandinavian Modern. One of our all time favourites the Trio is a timeless modernist classic. Made from solid teak and teak veneer with legs in solid beech, this credenza consists of 5 louvre type central drawers with sliding cupboard doors. This classic Scandinavian space-saving detail also reflects the influence of Japanese architecture and minimalism that inspired the European designers of the 50's. The Trio has adjustable/ removable shelving. Highly collectible, very rarely seen in NZ.

Excellent condition with only a few signs of age related wear. Has been cleaned and refinished with danish oil.
