Description: Stunning Teak Sideboard designed by Swedish Architect Nils Jonsson for Troeds Bjärnum. Troeds produced superb quality furniture throughout the 50's and 60's manufacturing the designs of architects such as Jonsson and Yngve Ekström (best known for the 1956 "Lamino" chair), all in a style that combined lightness, beauty and function - essential Scandinavian Modern.

The Gigant is a long, balanced and highly impressive design. Twin sliding doors and adjustable inner shelving offer vast storage options, while a flight of 4 drawers, with recessed handle detail complete the symmetry of both the layout and veneer matching. The top drawer is lined in factory royal blue baize with wide-set cutlery dividers. The interior is completely beech lined, including the shelves and ink stamped with makers mark and model clearly visible. In fantastic original condition with only the slightest amount of age related wear. This is a stunning and highly collectable investment piece. Architecturally designed, Scandinavian Modernism at its very finest.
