Knud Nielsen for Losning Mobelfabrik
Inquire about this item
A stunningly elegant example of Danish Modernism from designer Knud Nielsen for Losning Mobelfabrik circa 1965. This sideboard matches an eye for timeless minimalism with incredible attention to detail as evidenced in a beautifully figured, continuous run of book matched teak veneer along the top surface, framed by subtly curved and mitred edge clashings.
Two separate storage cupboards, the left being a single sliding door and in the centre, double sliding doors all feature ultra Modern grooved handles. The flight of four drawers are constructed from solid birch and birch ply with the top drawer being lined in original green baize.
The sideboard is in excellent condition throughout with the cupboard interiors and drawers in near new condition. Overall the piece exhibits very little age related wear and as such presents as a well finished, exceedingly rare piece of Danish Modern design.
